Sunday, 20 January 2008

Ronald McDonald House Charities has many chapters and houses within Florida to help families. In particular, one of their programs is that they provide families with a home away from home where they can stay, be fed and have support, so they can stay near their ill/hospitalized child who is in a local hospital with a serious/critical illness while their child gets the medical help needed. These are the specific Florida houses and programs- http://www.rmhc.org/search_cm/searchresult.php

You can find out more about the parent organization here: http://www.rmhc.org/about/ and make either a donation to that nationwide organization or you can pick your favorite local Florida branch entity with a quick search online based on the list above which details Florida programs and houses, and then you can donate either your time by volunteering or make a financial donation to a local Florida program. Online donations are easy to make through their websites.
